Have you ever wondered if space sharing is for you? There are so many wonderful benefits to it, but we can confidently say that it isn’t for everyone.
If you’re thinking it most likely is for you, feel free to check out our post, “Space Sharing 101.” But we understand that everyone has their reservations and that there are a few reasons why you might not want to consider space sharing. Let’s dive into them!
1. You don’t like to save money. Life is expensive; running a business is expensive; but surprisingly, not everyone likes to save money. We’re not here to judge you though, so keep on!
2. You’re not ready for this change. It’s uncomfortable to be sure. Change can often result in positive results in one’s life and business, but some people don’t find the risk worth it.
3. You aren’t interested in having new people in your space. Although it’s an important part of growing a successful business, some people aren’t about meeting new people.
4. You don’t want to do anything differently. Routines are awesome, but if you’re one of those people who won’t tolerate any sort of deviation from your routine, then space sharing might not be for you. And that’s okay!
5. You like your overhead. Maybe you’ve got an excellent deal on your overhead, and you don’t want to lower it AT ALL. It happens—maybe.
6. You don’t want to connect with new people. Maybe you’ve got your business circle, and you’re not interested in expanding it all. If you’ve networked with all of the businesses you’ll ever need, then, by all means, network no more.
7. You feel like you’re doing enough already. Some people would rather spend more on new resources instead of utilizing what they have better.
8. You’re okay with taking on a long-term commercial lease. Risks are fun—especially financial ones that aren’t totally thought out. Right?
9. You’re financially stable! Some people have figured out a system that works, and they’re not interested in deviating. We get that!
10. You don’t want to do any more work than you have to. We challenge you to ask yourself why you chose a business because this is, indeed, not the easiest profession!
If any of these sounds like you, then maybe space sharing isn’t the best option for you. If these felt a little wild, out of place, or so unlike your business tactics or behaviors, then we strongly consider space sharing for your business.
